Temp was 95 with a heat index of 104... and dew point was 73 during the parade!!! hottest 4th of July ever! The tires were blown on a couple cars and our shoes stuck to the pavement. My new shoes have a nice fresh coat of tar on the bottom of them. We all toughed it out as long as we could. Happy to now be home in the air conditioning for the rest of the day. We broke a record of 102 degrees! Third avenue even has a huge stripe of missing pavement from cars pulling up the melting road.This will definitely be a holiday we wont soon forget. We survived the hottest 4th of July!
